Bruce Purser Reserve
Bruce Purser Reserve is a sporting complex located in the north-west of Sydney that is home to local sporting groups including the East Coast Eagles and the Kellyville Rouse Hill Magpies. The venue hosts Australian football and cricket and has a capacity of around 4,000. Bruce Purser Reserve is named after the first Shire President.
The $6.9 million facility was officially opened by Mayor of The Hills Shire, Councillor Larry Bolitho, on Saturday 7 March, 2009 for a pre-season AFL game involving the Sydney Swans which attracted a crowd of 3,600.
The facilities at Bruce Purser Reserve include a full-size field able to host Australian football and cricket, including a turf wicket, turf and synthetic cricket practice wicket, amenities building with facilities suitable for use by senior AFL and cricket teams, floodlighting to cater for night games, car parking and podium spectator seating.
